I'm so to glad to know someone else who feels the same way about where the series has gone ;_; Thank you for your kind words.

After Jonah was released on DVD, I slowly lost all interest for Veggietales and kind of pushed it aside, for reasons I wasn't too sure about. My videos have even disappeared since then :/ But I gave the Pirates movie a chance and that brought me back to the joy of Veggietales, to my surprise. I guess it's more of a sentimental attachment I had it in the early days than anything else.

And yeah, the recent Pirates movie has religious undertone whatsoever! But it doesn't quite match up to Jonah, imo. The writing was good, but it still lacked creativity and catchy songs compared to the former movie....but I'd watch it again anyways ^^ Oh, and it also explains as to how they 'time-traveled' in the first movie. If you've watched Jonah till the end of the credits, Larry will mention something about a prequel ;)

I haven't seen the recent videos, so it's sad to hear there's been less Bob and Larry interactions. The Pirate ARE cool and they played their roles nicely in Jonah, but I start to wonder if a movie of them was really necessary and if it would've worked out better as a direct-to-video episode. And it's kind of hard for me to put into words of how Veggietales has changed, but nevertheless I'm curious where the series will head in the future.
