Dlc?
And I feel ripped off basically. The game is uber cute and artsy but there's little replayability or content.
Tldr I feel ripped off, what's your feelings about dlc?
Re: Dlc?
(Anonymous) 2015-05-27 11:58 pm (UTC)(link)I like DLC if the game was already pretty detailed and long without it, so the DLC just feels like a bonus (I didn't mind forking over money for the DLC that the first Dragon Age game came out with because the game felt pretty complete without it)
Re: Dlc?
I knew it was a small short game but nothing I read mentioned the utter lack of content. There's things like bushfires in the original game and the game files but they're not implemented unless you buy the dlc :(
Re: Dlc?
Re: Dlc?
At first I thought I hadn't explored enough cause I didn't even see wolves in the main game but since then I've been forced to realise that yup there's really only one threat to you on one map that happens once. The rest of the time you're good as long as the Cubs are fed.
So I thought alright I'll be the first person to collect all the hidden items and I can't even do that because they spawned outside of the sandbox area!
Not worth the $20au. $5-10au, but not $20 and most certainly not $20 with the 4th map behind another dlc.
Re: Dlc?
Are we Steam friends btw?
Re: Dlc?
I've also left a negative review lol

Re: Dlc?
I find DLC best when they're exploring parts of the story that wouldn't have worked in the main storyline but can add knowledge of the world and enjoyment for the player.
Re: Dlc?
There are some practices that I dislike, though. One is the on-disc DLC that you have to pay to unlock. That's pretty shitty (and Capcom loves it, of course.) I also am not a fan of releasing 6 million skins for a buck each. That's basically horse armor, innit? It's useless, especially if it unbalances the game difficulty.
Re: Dlc?
I also don't like pre-order stuff as well, and prefer to wait till they release it as packaged dlc.
Re: Dlc?
Re: Dlc?
But if I have to pay in order to unlock features that should be readily available? Yeah I don't like that.
Re: Dlc?
(Anonymous) 2015-05-28 12:26 am (UTC)(link)I'm not too fond of things like outfit DLCs and won't bother to buy that myself. Same with weapons, though I think that's a bit more iffy, especially for multiplayer games and if the DLC weapons are ridiculously overpowered.
Re: Dlc?
The base game needs to be really good for me to consider it. If I've not played out the base game, there's not really any point. Minimally I'll buy DLC that offers a full quest chain or new mechanic that interests me (such as the houses in Skyrim). Microtransactions such as stuff packs, skins, models, etc., etc., are a pass. Microtransaction pay-to-win is right out.
