speaking for the majority of people with a sense of internet history, most of us don't care

It's really hard not to see him as Number One Front Page Karma King Of Reddit when he looks like this.

If he thinks our brains are the only biological thing that sets us apart from other animals, he's not very smart.

Was the writer's intention to make him sound totally ignorant of biology and evolution, or were they trying to make him intelligent?

The former. He's not as smart as he thinks he is.

So glad to hear that, or else that page would've been full of cringe. Now that I know it's intentional, it's kinda brilliant

I mean, he's smart enough to bring a city to its knees and he has a good sense of operational planning, but he's got a very inflated sense of his own intelligence and often makes assumptions about biology and psychology that are totally wrong because they jibe with his own "I'm smarter than you" worldview.

It's really sad when a ripoff C-lister like Cluemaster totally outdoes him.

God I just thought about how sad it was that I had to ask if that was a mockery or not because real people this exist

(Anonymous) 2015-05-28 11:12 pm (UTC)(link)
Wait, you mean Edward Nigma, not John Astin, I hope?

(Anonymous) 2015-05-28 11:26 pm (UTC)(link)
Hm. A Riddler secret that's not a Riddler!Anon secret. Metadata doesn't match.

probably a friend of riddler!anon.

I don't really understand the secret but this picture is awesome.

I remember Gorshin but I'd completely forgotten that Astin played Riddler! (I think of him as Gomez.)

(Anonymous) 2015-05-29 12:08 pm (UTC)(link)
Different anon. Same here! Gorshin was the only Riddler I could remember from the 60s series, now I'll have to hunt down the Astin episodes to compare

It's so odd that Gorshin did Seasons 1 and 3, and Astin Season 2. ~ Was Gorshin so iconic that they had to bring Astin back?
