Text: I want to make fandom friends, but I think I’m too lazy. I’m not sure how to keep up contact.

It doesn’t feel worth it when I’m probably socially “needier” than the other party. Why should I put in the effort only to make someone feel awkward like that? I can function as a lurker, and maybe that’s for the best.

The last time I had multiple conversatons [*conversations] over a long period of time with fellow online fans was around 2007.
