Is there any pairing in this show that isn't about rape? Just wondering.

Like 99% of them? Unless it's revealed that Ned retroactively raped Catelyn.

Ned and Cat had a healthy, loving relationship. You can guess what happened to them...

Well, kind of. There was that whole issue with him running off and getting another woman pregnant, then bringing the bastard back.

There is some Wild Mass Guessing about whether Jon Snow was his son or his nephew...

I try to steer clear of all the speculation on his mother, which is silly, because it's only fake!spoilers, but if someone gets it right, I'll still be pissed.

I'd argue Tirion's relationship wasn't rapey. There was a power imbalance that I think he knew and was trying to work past...but we all saw how that turned out...:C

Not to mention he never touched Sansa as he respected her.

And yet, Tyrion's first relationship ended in a gangbang rape.

Gee, it couldn't be because his father forced him into it. And wasn't he young at that?

He was thirteen. So yeah, pretty much a kid. A crippled kid, at that. He had roughly as much choice in the matter as someone with a gun to their head would.

That's what I thought I'd read about. So people trying to claim he's a rapist are trying too fucking hard.

Haha oh man, that qualifier.

Most of them? Jaime and Cersei is supposed to be consensual though the show fucked that over. The same can really be said about Drogo and Dany- the show made it seem more rapey than the books ever did. But Ygritte and Jon, Sam and Gilly, Sansa and Tyrion, Tyrion and Shae, Ned and Cat, Dany and Daario...

The majority of the pairings in the books/show are not about rape.

Loras/Renley, Robb/his wife.

GRRM himself said that if he could rewrite the books, he'd change the wedding night of Dany t fit the show, as it was "too romantic" and Drogo started raping her to tears every day after that anyway.
