28) Dude. Flyff, Ragnarok. They do the SAME DAMN THING. My friend is so obsessed with Flyff that he won't stop playing it for a month, just to do something RIGHT (which is, rescue an animal). He wants to but he says he doesn't have the WILL POWER. Now I'm scared one of those animals will die.

Me? I play WoW, but I usually spend a month or so without it every once in awhile. Don't hate WoW because it 'makes people get addicted', get mad at your friends because they're addicted to something that is just FANTASY. Seriously, you have to have a really weak mind to be addicted to something like that.

GOD, I can't believe other people are that wrapped up in Flyff as well. I'm so pissed at my roommate for allowing himself to be swallowed entirely in it. He's finally easing out of it now that one of his highest level characters has been banned for hacking (karma, goddammit).

I swear, the only reason he's gotten even MORE obsessed with it is because a few months ago they introduced pets... yeah. This guy is my BEST FRIEND and all, but sometimes he pisses me off w/ the flyff shit. He was all "well i dont know HOW you can go without WoW for so long" and i was like "well, i may be a nerd, but it's a videogame. There are so many more important things."

Oh man, back in high school I had a friend who ruined her grades and her social life because she was spending every waking moment on fucking Neopets. What the hell.

I get so sick of hearing the whole "OMG WOW RUINED MY COUSIN'S MARRIAGE" spiel from some people I know because they seem completely incapable of realizing that if someone prefers spending time with a game to time with his family, it's his mental state and not the game that's the problem.

Thank you for tearing into the people who get addicted and not what they become addicted to. I play WoW... and it's taken me almost two years to get my main to lvl 62. That there's some healthy low-key play time, with healthy breaks taken for finals, writing papers, or just for the hell of it. It's pretty insulting to be put in the same category as the weak-minded minority who let games get in the way of life.

Are you kidding? It's been a year since those races were addeed, getting to 70 doesn't require someone to be grossly addicted to the game anymore. What is slightly nuts is the fact there are scores of people--whole guilds who started AFTER the Burning Crusade was released who have cleared the game. Finished completely. Karazhan, Serpentshrine, Tempest Keep, Hyjal Summit, Black Temple... ALL OF IT!

Don't be freaked out by the lv70 belfs and draenei, be freaked out by those people.

I know someone at work who can do this, but then again he has a whole stable of 70s to help his alts along. Does the number really matter in the end? :)
