I may have misunderstood, but it sounds as though you've completely moved on from this fandom/comm, so does that mean you've also moved on from the pseud you used for this fic? I'm guessing that from your desire to delete the account that it's unrelated to your current fannish self.

If there's no connection between your current pseud and this old comm, then why not make a new AO3 account under the old name and link it that way? You can still thoroughly tag it with the fandoms involved, and these days people are more likely to seek fic on site like AO3 than they are on aged LJ comms. You might actually find more interested readers that way, and you can always put a notice up that you're not writing for that fandom/s anymore so you don't get anyone's hopes up. You can even mention that this was once on such-and-such, now-deleted LJ comm back in the day if you think that'll help those readers find it.

Or if there's no connection between you and this old comm/account, then why delete them at all if deletion bothers you? I have several LJ accounts I haven't touched in years (probably the last time was when LJ sent out that "log in or we'll delete inactive accounts!" notice). I just don't think about them, and leaving them up doesn't affect me or my current fandom activity at all.
