I'm very behind on Psych but everything I have seen I definitely like their relationship a lot. I like them better than Gus and Shawn (though I like them too).

I love them too.

Henry and Shawn are <3 And not only are they <3, their relationship is central to a lot of the kind of fanfic where best friends would be more likely to be the central relationship (h/c, etc).

By cathartic, do you mean that it's nice to see the process of a father/son relationship that starts out with a pretty screwed-up backstory repair itself and grow and develop?

Also this reminds me that I haven't seen the last season yet...

Same. =)

I liked that their relationship wasn't perfect and they both had things to get over in order to get closer.

The finale kind of bummed me out in the fact that they won't be near each other anymore (plus leaving Lassie behind too ;_;)

I haven't seen but a handful of episodes, but I see why you like them. They might not have a perfect relationship, but they're still fun to watch and obviously care about each other. I imagine their relationship grows closer as the show goes on and they work through some of their issues. (It's good to be reminded that such a thing is possible.)

They're great. At first, in the first couple seasons or so, Henry seemed to be too hard on Shawn. However he grew on me later on.
Teaching a kid the science of deduction at the tender age of 7 is unorthodox but it seemed he wanted to prepare Shawn for an adult life, which is sepposedly easier with superior memory and observational skills(?). It's nice that he spend a lot of time with Shawn, anyway.

How old are you?
