Faith In Humanity

My gf's boss, for example, is very nice in that she keeps leaving little tiny presents for her like a box of gum or pocky or a new pen here and there for her when she comes on shift. It's because she's trying to be friends and that's a pretty normal thing to do for friends in her culture (according to my experiences). It's nice, but it's nice by design.
So what are you looking for, OP? Is being good not killing spiders? Is it rescuing animals from high kill shelters to foster them until they can find homes for adoption? Is it volunteering your time to serve tea to people in care homes who don't have the mobility to go out anymore?

(Anonymous) 2015-06-02 01:44 am (UTC)(link)The anon who replied to you was being rude, but honestly there's no need to lecture someone about what it means to be good, when the OP clearly just wanted stories about people going out of their way to do good deeds for others/shrugs
Re: Faith In Humanity
People aren't good the way dogs are good. There is no set universal "good human" criteria.

(Anonymous) 2015-06-01 11:16 pm (UTC)(link)(I guess I would prefer stories about people being good/nice to other people but I'm cool with animals or whatever else too. There's just been a lot of depressing stories in the news lately.)
Re: Faith In Humanity
I can't find the news links right now, but it was recently in the papers. I think that counts as something positive and not about animals and that might now constitute a random act of goodwill or social move.
Edit: I think this might have been the one?
