I recently rewatched CSI Miami. I loved it at the time, but now I mostly just crack-watched. Oh, wow, how he over acted. It cracked me up mostly (except that one moment where he beats a pedophile suspect and we're supposed to cheer and it is totally harsher in hindsight given all the police brutality in the news lately).

I watched it for Ryan, so I was definitely in a love/hate relationship with the show because they gave him such crappy storylines and Delko always treated him like crap.

It's been a while since I've watched it but I was definitely getting annoyed with the turns they took in later seasons where Horatio would beat up suspects. What was cool about his character was that he didn't resort to that stuff; he could use science to get the bad guy. It felt like such a left-turn for him, and also like they were trying to be "cool" but it made him look like a bully and I really disliked it.

Oh, ugh, Delko. I hated him more than Caine. At least Caine was hilarious in a cracky kind of way. Delko just made me angry.

Agreed hard. He was so self-righteous and that's the kind of character I really loathe. Plus, the narrative always ended up siding with him; he was never called on his bullshit. The Eric/Calleigh romance destroyed Calleigh as a character and sank a lot of the later seasons. I was so glad for the season he was gone.

Yup. And in the later seasons it was like he was dual main characters with Caine even though he had never been more important than anyone else before. He was front and center more and just as annoying. And Calleigh and Ryan got pushed to the background and I hated it.

overacted and he has no charisma. Plus he looks like Archie. All he needs is hashmarks on his head and he can go hang out with Jughead and Moose.
