This I agree with. The scene wasn't the best, but in general I liked his performance. It was over the top, but it worked for me. He was very much an unearthly elf who was a king and who was not concerned with the cares of this world anymore outside his own kingdom.

Also, yes, his voice.

Also, shamefully, I even found Lee attractive as Ronan. Even blue makeup can't hide the pretty or that sexy voice.

He got that right, yea. I had no trouble believing it.

And he did bring a bit of flare to the movie, which I think it needed.

You say blue makeup like it's a bad thing! His voice is beautiful, but I didn't care for him as Ronan; would never blame Pace for that though, the writing for his character was just a bit lackluster. He didn't have much to work with. (He was more interesting as Thranduil despite the issues with the script.)
