(Anonymous) 2015-06-02 12:29 am (UTC)(link)I just don't often see situations where people pass up someone they're really into, and they pass on it continually. I think it'd be different if the story had been set up like they were always missing opportunities (a lot of romance stories do that) but it didn't feel like they were missing opportunities- it just felt like he liked her but she didn't like him in that way.
I just never felt Fred grow to love him, it just felt like she weirdly started liking him. It was even weirder when they had that episode where Wes essentially kills his "Dad" and doesn't care because he was protecting her? That's not romantic to me.
