See, I don't get the idea that feelings can't change. I buy that she wasn't in love with him at first and then fell in love with him. Maybe not "one true love" but then I don't believe in destiny and "one true love" anyway.

AYRT I could buy that feelings could change enough for them to date but not enough for them to be so incredibly in love and that they would have stayed together forever if she had not died.

I just don't often see situations where people pass up someone they're really into, and they pass on it continually. I think it'd be different if the story had been set up like they were always missing opportunities (a lot of romance stories do that) but it didn't feel like they were missing opportunities- it just felt like he liked her but she didn't like him in that way.

I just never felt Fred grow to love him, it just felt like she weirdly started liking him. It was even weirder when they had that episode where Wes essentially kills his "Dad" and doesn't care because he was protecting her? That's not romantic to me.
