When feminists start decrying "all heterosexual sex is rape" for the ridiculous wackadoo fringe opinion it is, then maybe I'll embrace the label. As it sits, telling me that my choices, freely made, are the result of me being brainwashed by the patriarchy just makes me want to slap you with a haddock.

Also, policing my decision to stay at home with my kid instead of going out and banging my head against the workplace makes you no better than the people who used to police the decision of women who did go to work outside their homes.

I'm not sure I've ever come across someone who actually believes heterosexual sex is rape. I only ever hear people complaining about that attitude.

Her non-logic is pretty fascinating. Although even she seems to consider it a fringe opinion where she's the one true sane person telling the rest of the world the truth.

I'm still going through the comments. LOL OMG, she actually says you can consent to rape. It's still rape even if you consent to it. Holy shit.

I also really liked all the stuff about how the fact of statutory rape proves that PIV is bad and always rape, completely ignoring that rape doesn't need to involve penetration and that it'd still be statutory rape if a woman had sex with an underaged girl, a man had sex with an underaged boy, or a woman had sex with an underaged boy.

Oh, and "exercise shouldn't hurt." LOL honey, exercise DOES hurt if you're doing it right. I mean there's a difference between "bad" exercise hurt and "good" exercise hurt, but in order to actually make any progress with exercising, you have to push yourself, and pushing yourself involves pain (or at least sore muscles the next day).

And omg, "all women are raped in patriarchy, so I'm doing you a FAVOR by not publishing comments about how you're trivializing actual rape victims."

I also get more, from reading a little of her blog, where the whole "women don't do bad things except when they're under men's control" mindset stems from. This woman has made men into, well, bogiemen. All men belong to a single, uniform, violent and completely evil cabal bent on destroying women (I love how she thinks they've tried to commit "genocide" against women. That's great). It's conspiracy theorist thinking, really black and white. So, if men are all inherently evil, then women must all be inherently good, and any women who do bad things or like men at all must be brainwashed. Even if they think they're doing things of their own free will, they're not, because, well, they've been brainwashed (this is also the conspiracy theorist's way of shutting down any disagreement. "THEY GOT YOU, MAN. YOU NEED TO FREE YOUR MIND"). As a result of this, it's not contradictory to claim to be pro-woman and trying to uplift women while also sometimes erasing women's agency. After all, you're not actually erasing their agency, because in those instances, due to the Evil Cabal who've Hoodwinked the World, they legitimately don't have it (and it's not their fault).

I love how she argues that radical feminists should feel bad for liberal feminists instead of being angry with them, because as a result of submitting to men, they're subject to more violence than radical feminists. It's pretty brilliant rationalization.

That is utterly ridiculous on the face of it. Let me guess, it's because men are always more powerful than women, and thus as the Oppressor Class it is impossible for them to be raped.

There's some crap about power in there and some denial of women being capable of being predators (which is SO fucking sexist and offensive a lot of the time. Like, there are radical feminists who will legit say that any woman who is caught, say, molesting a child had to have been doing so under the direction of a man. Way to take agency away from women, y'all), but there's something even dumber behind it: "men can't get erect if they're not aroused." Trouble is, they can, just like some women orgasm during rape.

I think it's stupid that you think "all heterosexual sex is rape" is somehow an accepted platform of the feminist movement. Or that 99.999% of feminists think that. Or that "feminism" is inherently defined by anything more than "men and women are equal".

Neither of those have been anything but fringe wackadoo opinions with regards to feminism for at least a decade now.
