He is.
He may not be bright or handsome, but he's the kind of guy who sees someone needing help and just helps and he's even willing to jump into a freezing river to save a kid, among other stuff (he's also a wonderful friend who would do even more for the people he cares about).

Yeah and I wouldn't talk trash about someone like that now. But I did when I was those girls' age, because I was insecure and wanted to feel superior. So in that way I sympathize with the girls for their actions, even if their intentions were different. If I'd wanted to be less inflammatory right away, I could have explained that, but then everyone would say tl;dr and it probably wouldn't make a difference in their opinion of me either way.

1. Who are you to decide somebody is trash?
2. People have fessed to talking behind people back all over this thread. I've done it. But we're not trying to justify our actions or trying to pretend it's "more polite". Just, possibly, less rude.
