Hey there.

See, the thing is? I didn't say it because it made me SPESHUL, and I'm not in the fandom, so I could care less about that. Mostly, I just felt the need to say it, because most of my flist is crazy for Akuroku and would probably skin me alive. :)

So, not whining, thanks very much. Just expressing an opinion. As far as I can tell, my secret wasn't whiny at all.

With the timing of 3 and my secret, I suppose you might think this is about you.

It probably is. But only partly. In fact, it's just representative of a much bigger trend in the KH fandom.

Mostly, I just don't get how people can say, "All my friends would kill me for not shipping A/B." Why is shipping such serious business? That, I think, seems like martyring behavior to me. To take KH as an example, I don't ship Riku/Sora, which is the other big slash pairing in the fandom. My flist is chock full of Riku/Sora OTPers, but telling them, "Geez, guys, I just don't see it. Sora/Namine for me." has never gotten me ostracized from the fandom yet.

Well, you have more forgiving friends than me and I envy you for it :[ I agree. I don't see why anyone makes a big deal about any differing opinion, but seeing how that works here on FS makes me despair for the human race. Because if we're arguing and unaccepting about petty shit like which fictional character should be with whom, than there's no hope. It's all bullshit.
