I just don't get why people just can't say "hey I like this game!" without also saying "because it's so much better than this one".

I've liked all FF games I've played (from VI to XII). Some things have bothered me in some games (like the pacing of the love story in VIII for example), but using the bad things in one game to make another look better only makes it seem like it's the only way it can look good.

I have a special love for VII, and still think it's an awesome game. It doesn't affect my opinion of any of the others.

(Also, i thought it was the VII fans that always were bashed? The VI fans think's we're just into "the new crap", and the fans of later games thinks we're stuck up with no right to be, since we're not proper "old-school" fans anyway. Or have I been out of the fandom for too long?)
