I'm not a big fan of woobie fics, but my current fandom is super into one half of my OTP being the woobie and it's so pervasive that I just want at least one fic where the other half is the woobie just out of spite at this point. I mean, I'd rather that they both deal with issues and come together to support each other since canonically they're both emotionally damaged, but the fandom loves Character X being the Woobie soooo much. It's just really grating at this point.
