There's a leak under the slab of the house. It's going to get repaired Thursday morning so I have another day of working with 'turn on the water enough for a shower' and off for the rest of the time. And on top of that I have my mother who has Alzheimer's. The worst I think will be the jackhammers but if I can get some soundproof headphones from Lowe's or something tomorrow that should help things out a little. And I think I can have the caregiver out to take mom out for a while so she's out of the house and not upset at the noise and people coming in and out. Plus, no water. Good is that the worst case price seems to be $4500 which includes replacing the water heater. But bad is price and making sure mom is as comfortable as can be.
