I have a Prius. Literally, the only ever driver I've ever judged was the guy in the giant orange pickup truck who screamed out his window at me "FUcK YOUR PRIUS."

Yeah, that guy can go to hell.

I want a Prius so badly! I am really confused as to why people judge them (well, besides being intimidated and feeling defensive at someone else's awesome car). I'd sooner judge people who drive enormous gass-guzzlers.

nayrt - I think it's people being defensive and assuming they're being judged by the Prius owner, much like the OP has done. Aaaaaand maybe some guilt if they drive gas guzzlers, which makes them angry and even more defensive.

I own a Prius too, because it's the nicest, quietest car I have ever driven with a weirdly large carrying capacity for its size. I bought it because I couldn't find a serviceable electric car.

Most of the time I just bike places anyway, but sometimes you need a car, y'know?

I have a Kia, though I bike or walk to work, like herpymcderp said, sometimes you just need a car.
