My girlfriend surprised me by parroting complaints about The Little Mermaid that I completely disagreed with and it turned out that she hadn't actually watched it since she was a kid and was going by what she had read somewhere. I'd love for her to watch it so we can discuss it for real but I really don't think she cares enough.

I do agree with a lot of the criticisms aimed at Disney even though I love a lot of the movies, but there are plenty I disagree with too.
