2. D: D: D: O how I feel the same way. My current prediction for Berserk is that Casca goes back to Griffith, and then Griffith and Guts wind up killing each other.

But then I was utterly convinced that Nina was going to suffer a horrible, grisly fate so HOPEFULLY I'M WRONG and Miura's heart has grown three sizes or something.

5&6, 48: Trufax - I just ordered myself X and X-2. When I first played X I just found it "pleasantly mediocre" but I've been hankering to play it again and give it another shot. And he's a dork but dammit, I do like Tidus.

I think the general problem with the Final Fantasy fandom is that not everybody's favorite in the franchise is The Most Popular Ever VII and we're butthurt to some degree that "our" game hasn't gotten merchandising/sequels/shiny movies/good fanfic.

That being said, goddammit I want a decent play arts figure for Zidane :|

Yeah I think that the Skull Knight's warning of "what Guts wants may not be what she wants" will have more to do with Guts fixation on revenge. Casca was torn between Guts and Griffith right until the end and I don't think that when she comes to she'll want to pursue vengeance against him.

And then the whole thing with their son doesn't help matters, either.

As a diehard FFVII fan, let me just say you don't WANT the merchandising/sequels/shiny movies, because they bring in ignorant fantards in DROVES.

Oh I know, I didn't think that Advent Children was particularly good, and then there was...Dirge of Cerberus. But on some "me too! me too! me too!" level I just wish that Squeenix would pay attention to the rest of their franchise.

I know what you mean -- especially since the whole sidegames/sequels absurdity seems to be coming standard now, with FFXII's Revenant Wings and whatever the heck they're doing for FFXIII.

(Me, I'm still hopelessly holding out for an FFX prequel focused on Braska's pilgrimage. Forget that X-2 nonsense.)

I've been pleasantly surprised by Revenant Wings so far, although I think that they're shoving way too many new races into Ivalice.

I'm already shaking my head and sighing about XIII. It's more than a little pretentious to make your sequels/spinoffs at the same time as your "pillar" title. Also sounds like bad marketing, too.

I could dig an X prequel! Needs moar Jecht and Auron, anyway. I was actually all over X-2 just because I am a romantic sap (hence the FFIX love).
