4. Have you tried posting a just-for-fun non-fandom meme? That might get some conversation going among people. I'm not always super talkative with people on my flist, especially new people, but something fun and open like a meme might get people warmed up and more friendly. Don't give up!

And if that doesn't work, you might find new people to friend...

33. Samus is pretty awesome. I wouldn't condemn you.

42. I feel your pain... well, don't feel like you have to keep it alive for everyone else. Consider launching a contest or something that might get people off their creative backsides? Honestly, I don't know the answer to that problem either, but it's worth a shot...

I have started to do this and it does seem to generate some conversation- but there are still a handful avoiding those, too. And I really can't see a reason why they would because the memes are fandom and non-fandom friendly, ask nothing personal, and are short and simple. I just wish people wouldn't friend me back if they didn't plan on even trying. But...I won't give up. :) I will keep trying, it isn't right for me to give up when I spend so much time telling others not to.
