Tailor-made for Tumblr: The Show.

But it's a nice butt and nice everything. I'm ashamed how long it took me to recognize the actress.

Agreed. They couldn't make a show better fitting for the Tumblr crowd.

That being said, I still like it a lot, but I tend to roll my eyes at how much they pander to the Tumblr mindset.

Interesting, well-written and multi-ethnic characters, gay and lesbian and trans characters that don't make you want to scream is ....bad?

Did the whole hospital scene not make your eyebrows raise? Do you believe a mother could legally force her adult child to have that done? That seemed very much intended to pander to a certain mindset. "See? See? PROOF! The establishment hates everyone like [that character]!!" (Being vague to avoid spoilers.)

Note: I've only seen the first four eps so far, so if that's explained later, I haven't seen it yet.

Uh...wow, i have *no* idea where you're coming from. And no, that is not 'pandering' to a 'certain mindset'. If someone is deemed legally incompetent then yes, they can be forced, against their will, to have treatment.

This is a TV SHOW, but the bones of that episode are there in that link. We have a super-secret organization that has been hunting down and 'lobotomizing' or killing people who are 'sensate'. They have money, and a network of doctors and authority figures that can back them up, bulldoze red tape and lie for them. In this universe? Totally possible.

In our universe? Also possible. Because they were stating that her new ability was actually something like cancer, and was affecting her ability to think and act clearly, they had precedent.
