IIRC, Mhari on LiveJournal wrote some Westmark fic, but mostly drabbles.

I fucking loved that series!!! I even begged my mom to start calling me Mickle because of it (which she refused to do, of course). Oh my word, I need to reread this -- I'm sure all the politics went completely over my head when I was a kid.

It was out of print for a good chunk of my childhood, while Prydain wasn't... I grew up wanting to be Vesper Holly, though.

Westmark is SO good that it's intimidating, ime! It's already developed in many of the ways that fanwriters go about developing texts, it tears down its idols and wrangles its angst and what's left for a fan to do? Westmark, it's like NBC Hannibal, in a way.

Yesss...I basically had the dialogue in the first book memorized when I was 12. I did write a fic for Yuletide the first year I ever did it and I had ideas for other ones (mostly about Justin because OMG Justin...) This might be a fun one to prompt for small fandom fests in the future because there's definitely a lot of unmined material!

I've used the opening paragraphs of Westmark more than once as an example of how telling can be much better than showing.

Just adding to the chorus of "this series is good!" I loved all of his work. I never looked for fanfic of it, though.
