This is exactly why I have zero interest in it. I loved the original Ghostbusters, why would I want to go see a movie that treats them as if they didn't exist?

i mean, i don't know if you think it's funny. if you don't, you probably shouldn't see it.

I don't, which is why I'm not going to see it. I don't tend to like reboots in general, especially when they make major changes to the characters.

What made the original movies funny to me were the actors and the chemistry they had with each other in those roles. Obviously a reboot isn't going to have those things, so it's a 50/50 chance as to whether I would find it funny or not.

These actors may well have their own chemistry and be just as funny in the role. I don't follow your logic, if there is any.

They might, but they also might not. Like I said, I'm not big on reboots and that is part of the reason why.

Because you loved the original Ghostbusters, so a version that has the same premise and a different take on the characters might be just as good or even better?

Because a reboot does not destroy/wipe from existence the original?

maybe they aren't interested in a new take on the characters. it's not that hard to understand why some people might not want that if they liked the original series and the original characters.
