I get this

(Anonymous) 2015-06-16 12:07 am (UTC)(link)
Sometimes I'm all, "I should learn Latin," or "I bet I'd be good at safecracking," or "It would be awesome if I could play guitar like ____." But I rarely actually do any of it. The thievery skills seem most interesting to me (lock-picking, safecracking, pick-pocketing, hotwiring, etc.), but I'm not sure I want Google or the NSA to know that I want to know how to do them, even though I would never use them to commit crimes, I just think they're cool skills.

Same. (Not so much with the lock-picking or pick-pocketing I have enough trouble doing those in video games, but it would be an interesting experience!)

Eh, lock-picking is more tedious than difficult. And it's almost impossible to do successfully without accidentally breaking at least a little piece of your tools.

Uuuuuuh, or so I heard from a friend....
