Personally, I felt like Omid's death was one thing they did right. It was devastating, but what a great way to start the game, and the way Krista just offed that girl was like a slap to the face. It was like saying, "Welcome back to The Walking Dead!"

But I agree with the rest, totally. Krista disappearing was a total cop-out. Nick and Sarah felt like "You were supposed to let that person die. Now what do we do? Eh, dead." There were a lot of cases where it seemed like the game was really pushing for you to make a certain choice, and then either ignoring or punishing you for picking the opposite.

My first game through, I was really pushing to stick with Kenny, and I was pleased with my ending. The second time I pushed for Jane, and it was kind of shocking to me how many things stopped making sense. And the ending was definitely a "You chose poorly" moment compared to the emotional finale I got with Kenny--no closure, totally cynical. Which is why I really hope season 3 doesn't have Clementine. They really can't without picking a canon ending or immediately negating what happened, so here's hoping for a new cast.

OP here.

I personally thought the Kenny vs Jane angle was done poorly too.
I mean almost the entire fourth and fifth episode keeps trying to convince us over and over again that Kenny is crazy and bad and isn't safe to be around. It really tried its hardest to make it look like Jane was the better option in every aspect. But Janes ending is really crappy and boring compared to Kennys which is one of the few moments in the game that I thought was actually done well. It just makes no sense.

Not gonna lie, I cried a lot over Kenny in that last episode, no matter what I picked. I felt terrible watching him fall apart. And the second time, I was really looking forward to consoling myself with Jane and Clem being badass survivor sisters (it's still my headcanon that Krista made it to the Howie's with them). But like you said, her ending was terrible. I'm not even sure what they were really going for, other than they flat out expected you to side with Kenny and didn't know what to do with the other option.

The Wolf Among Us had some moments like that, too. Overall I hate that they're spreading themselves so thin, because it's starting to show.
