I screamed! (And am now crying tears of excitement and joy, this is sad.) This is literally the last thing in the world I would've expected to happen. I thought Shenmue was gone for good, and I can't believe it has a chance.

Considering the kickstarter numbers, it's coming. Dear God, it's coming.

I saw nothing in the video about platforms, is it only coming to PS4 or is there a possibility for PC later? (I see you can get a PC disc by pledging $60...i am considering it.)

yeah, I thought I was over screaming and crying over video game announcements, but no, Shenmue 3 proved I was wrong. Just...oh my god. ヽ(´ω｀○)ﾉ.+ﾟ*｡:ﾟ+

It's listed as a PC/PS4 release. Which is good because I still can't decide which next-gen system to get.

Jesus Christ this is the most shocking gaming announcement of my life, I think. I am dumbfounded that this is happening now, after 14 years or almost nothing. Shit. It is a miracle!

Is it going to be download only, I wonder? (For the people who don't pledge and get a disc?) So many people are wanting PS4 copies that I would be surprised if they didn't consider disc versions. Even if I end up having to just watch this I will be so damn happy lol.

It really is! It's one of those things that you'd hear people wish for, but the series was never particularly successful, so a sequel seemed like a pipe dream...

That's what really blows me away. It's a genuine sequel, not a remake or spin-off. That's a huge risk to take but I'm so glad it's happening. ♥

And it has already passed the 2 mill goal! I'm so excited I feel a bit faint. Like, I never expected this day to come...it feels like a dream.

I know jack shit about Kickstarter but I pledged because how could I not? I hope people keep giving and the stretch goals are met so the game can be everything Yu wants it to be.

Ahhhhhhhhhhh~

Not that I don't want a remake (I would LOVE a remake. Give me a PC remake on disc and I'll buy it day one!), but this is so much better than just a remake.
