Agreed. Considering when Bucky was captured by Hydra, it is generally really easy to figure out. Anything after Bucky was rescued is post-serum, anything before they both join the army is Post, and nothing is in between that because they weren't together.

Unless it is an AU, I can't imagine it not being easy to figure out.

Steve you mean? I think the fic is about Steve and it does say AU fics.

Well, OP is talking about AUs in the secret, aren't they? Unless it's an AU set in canon (like genderbend AUs) it's not always easy to figure out for sure. Though personally I assume writers write about big!Steve in AUs, unless it's explicitly stated in the fic/tags that it's little!Steve.
