You don't need to pretend to be color blind, but you don't need to constantly refer to non-white characters by their skin tones over and over again.

I agree constant reference is annoying and unnecessary. But the author of this rant is saying you should NEVER refer to a black character as black from a third-party POV. Which is ridiculous.

I have no problem with that tumblr post. It may not be done maliciously, but it's still better not to do it.
