I read a fic recently (i'll have to find) that I'm still not sure what Steve it was. There was no description of his musculature. There were no height comparisons. No talk of health issues (except for when he was a kid, but they kept using past tense so....). None of the usual "his big hands around his waist" "he looked up into Bucky's eyes" etc.

I THINK he may have been post-serum steve? because there was ONE mention in the last chapter in like the last paragraph (during the sex scene) where Steve having abs was mentioned in passing. So..yeah.

Right, but when in the timeline did it take place? Unless it wasn't clear when it took place, I would think it would be clear from the timeline whether he was pre or post serum.

It was an AU...I wrote AU in the my secret. So...it was in the part of timeline where Bucky worked for a cuddle company and Steve was a work-at-home accountant or some shit.

Oh, well, at that point I"m just going to assume post-serum since I've never seen an AU like that mean pre-serum unless specifically mentioned.

As a big reader of Steve fics (as some people may know), I have. But it is usually heavily implied (or outright stated) which Steve you are dealing with by the first chapter.
