Why do you even need to label a character as asexual in a fic? You could just write gen? Isn't that what we all used to do?

Unless you want to make it *about* asexuality, which seems about as interesting as every gayngst fic out there.

There could be a romance with no sex in it in the story.

Asexual people have partners and romances, too.
