It's called Sound! Euphonium, and it's about a high school concert band. It's a gorgeously animated nostalgia trip for anyone who was ever in band, and it also happens to have massive amounts of UST between the female leads.

I agree with OP that romance isn't the point of the show, and I'm not even all that invested in the characters, but even so, I feel like they crossed the point of no return with the femslash even before this latest episode, so I can't blame people for feeling cheated when the show tried to pull the straight card (especially given the guy in question).

Honestly, though, if it were up to me, the entire last episode would just be watching them play their concert. The way the light glints on the brass section in the opening... Damn. Gets me every time.
