13. I loled. And also agreed. I am so confused whenever people arbitrarily decide that their favourite character is (MAGICALLY!) some heavily romanticised animal.

Has anyone else noticed that furries never use less-than-pleasant animals? Everyone is always some sort of cat, or lion, or panther, or dog, or wolf, or whatever. The sneaky guy is never a weasel! The guy who has lots of emotional walls up and blocks himself up is never an armadillo!

:( there was an small influx of furry art in my main fandom, and I almost cried, it was so horrible.

Ahaha oh god. Now I want to do a series of peices where the characters in my favorite manga/game/shows are sitting around with animals that might represent them lolol

Best anthro art I actually ever saw was an anthropomorphised giant isopod. And I'd kill to see an armadillo anthro.

Am I doing it right?

You'd think that no one wants the unsavory animals, and then you encounter the skunk furries. ^_^;;

But still, there are a lot of furries that I've never seen. Small breed dog furries like chihuahuas or Boston terriers. Chicken or turkey furries or would they be featheries? How about bugs and insects like crickets and houseflies, or again, would they be classified something else? And do they have furries for non-standard fantasy animals (not unicorns or minotaurs and the like)? Like Pokemon? Is it Otakin or is it furry? So many questions, so few answers.

I want to see a frog furry, or would be he an amphibury? XD

*points at her icon*

Though, I've never considered my frog characters "furries" since they aren't part of the furry fandom. They're cartoon animals.

[identity profile] forchancookie.livejournal.com 2008-01-26 03:32 am (UTC)(link)
But there's a difference between anthropomorphic art and furries right? Because Furries think they are an animal or whatever. So I don't consider Bugs Bunny or Mickey Mouse to be furries, they're just, as you say, cartoon animals.

But still I wonder, do frog furries....or maybe they're finnies, or flipperies, exist?

[identity profile] ame-lj.livejournal.com 2008-01-26 03:54 am (UTC)(link)
If you're asking, is there someone out there who considers themselves to be a frog, then, no, I haven't met a real person going, "I AM A FROG IN A HUMAN BODY."

I would have to say, yes there is a difference. These cartoon animals, Mickey, Felix, Snoopy, Bugs, Brian... they are animals with more human characteristics.

The whole thing is a confusing mess.
