5: Unless you can read minds, you have no place in questioning someone else's stated sexual orientation. They know their own damn life better than some twit on the internet. If you are going to bring statistics into it, you might just want to remember that GLBT people tend to hang in GLBT friendly places, fandom being one of them.

11: I'm ashamed to admit, when I read my daughter's my little pony books to her, I'm quietly pairing them off together. Minty x Wisteria is adorably wrong. They even share an icecream cone! <3

26: When you grow up a little you will realize how presumptuous is is to think that people over 20 can't enjoy children's programming. If anything, older people are freer to enjoy children's programming than teenagers, because we are secure enough not to care what bratty twits think about us. You can't tell a person's maturity by their fandom, but you can tell by their assumptions.

Or read 'children's books.' Diana Wynne Jones is a children's author, and yet she's possibly one of the best storytellers I know.

She's one of my absolute favorite authors. I have close to, if not all of her books. In fact I collected many of them while they were out of print before the JKRowling tidal-wave pushed her back into the mainstream. She is definitely worth that kind of effort -- from adults to read.
