26. I've always thought that Avatar started with Japan as inspiration but slowly went to China for the rest of the storyline and simply stayed there.

The Avatar story alone is more in tune with "Journey to the West" than any epic that Japan has come up with. The style started off as an anime but the last season and a half, most of the places the team were in had real life CHINESE counterparts. Not Japanese, again, Chinese. I mean, the Fire Nation are the people of the dragon. That's a Chinese reference to. All the fighting styles are based off of Chinese martial arts. Everything written in the Avatar world is in Chinese.

So, again, aside from the initial inspiration, how is Avatar weeabo?
