my dislike of "harmless" furry art stems from unexpected encounters with something much more sinister.

ive seen a lot of things. a LOT of things.

stumbling upon wacked-out porn of something isn't going to make me hate ALL of it, or RUIN something for me. sure, it's gross, but so what? so everytime i stumble upon loli-futa-whatever porn of my favorite shows, it's going to ruin it for me? anime styled crap of a live-action that i like is going to make me hate all anime?

i find it a bit shallow. i figure when you venture to the internet you gotta get used to stuff.

w...well im rather uncertain why you would be watching someone who would post something like that, cus otherwise it's spam and you're rather allowed to be out-spoken about that!

im not annoyed by people who find it gross, im mainly annoyed with people who seem to be practically saying "hey, ive seen some of you draw gross stuff! i dont want you drawing that at all, so no drawing people as animals at ALL around ME or MY fandom! even if its safe!" or "i hate characters as animals period so youre not allowed here!" like the OP seemed to be like.

I meant in the instance of a community- which I think is what the OP might have been referring to. I don't think an entire fandom can be ruined by furries (although, then again, I'm not exactly going to give them a challenge) but a community could easily be ruined in that sort of way if a persistant 'fan' posted their furry 'portrayals' of humanoid characters every single day to the point of spam.

Every guro/tenticle/crazy fetish artist I've seen either keeps to their own corners of the intarweb or slathers their stuff with warnings. Generally they seem a quiet bunch, and except for 4chan it's fairly hard to find that stuff accidentially IMO.

If furries acted the same way they'd probably have fewer people shitting all over them :(

additionally, the furry insistence on being FURSECUTED is so fucking ridiculous. if they didn't do it, it probably wouldn't happen. their behaviour of "EVERYBODY HATES US" is a self-fulfilling prophecy that just makes more people hate them because they're bitching about it.

i wish i could hate furries for this reason, but the truth is i just don't have enough energy.
