I'm sixteen. And Naruto is "Young Adult" literature, sweetums. Check your Japanese listings for details. Unless, of course, you don't know where to find those, sense they don't include your delightful children's cartoon of bright colors and gross older fans. ♥

Naruto is aimed at middle-schoolers. And in the states it's rated for teens. So, generally 13-16 year-olds. Avatar is rated for a similar age group.

You like what you like. Avatar is a well-written show. So what does it matter that people older than than the intended audience enjoy it? Is it bad for me enjoy Disney movies even though I'm about to graduate college?

You'll find creepy fans in just about every fandom. Yeah, they can be creepy and annoying, but it's not right to believe that they are not allowed to enjoy a show.

No, it's not "young adult." I am honestly not sure where they stick it at the library over here, but the target audience (in Japan) is children and preteens. Same as Avatar. That doesn't mean that it doesn't have older fans (of course it does), but Shounen Jump= target audience young boys, simply put. An adult should be just as out of place in AtLa as Naruto, which should be- not at all! Because why put an age limit on something that just happens to be well written entertainment?

Naruto is targeted at middle schoolers in Japan, dude. It runs in Jump.

And regardless, who the hell cares what the target audience is, if you like it, you like it.
