In literature, it's often green eyes. Maybe because it's more "unique" and sets the character apart from others? But blue eyes seem to be more popular in older works.

True. I have seen an uptick in green eyes. Not that there's anything wrong with that -- I have relatives with green eyes -- it's just rare to see brown eyes romanticized.

Of popular media, the first thing that springs to mind is Twilight, funnily enough, with Bella's "chocolate eyes."

you know, it's curious

where i live blue eyes are considered attractive, but green eyes less so, because they are more common than blue

(i prefer green to blue so i was baffled)
