Maybe it's not too late. With the internet you could find like-minded people to collaborate with. I mean, I guess it's harder as you get older since everyone's time is split between more responsibilities (work, family, etc.) but if it's something you want to do as a hobby, you might find people interested. Some things (like movies, games, music, etc.) you just need other people to make them happen. Maybe you can post your creative work to a place where you're likely to meet the people you'd like to work with (YouTube for video productions, fanfiction websites for writing, etc.) you could put a note that you're always up for collaboration or something.
