I had to turn it off in the middle of that scene and gave up on the show immediately afterwards - I'm sorry, but I grew up with Freema Agyeman as Martha in Doctor Who and seeing her like this is incredibly uncomfortable for me.

Was she your childhood hero or something? I'll admit I don't understand where you're coming from, but I'm sorry you didn't feel like finishing the show. It's pretty unique and has some damn impressive action sequences (And sometimes, surprisingly insightful dialogue), and Freema is fantastic. I never saw her whole Who run, but I absolutely adored her in this.

Oh that makes me happy! I have a friend who hates Martha Jones and one of her biggest reasons is that she insists Freema was a terrible actress. I don't agree so I'm glad to know that either my friend is making shit up or the material she was working with in DW wasn't great (which to be fair, it wasn't).
