Lots of Owen/Claire fic, Barry/Owen friendship fic, and lots of Raptor squad fic. And art.

But I also need more set during/after the events of JP, so...I know it isn't a fic rec thread, but I'd love some.

Anywho, I've been seeing a ton of discussion that I. Rex is basically the Mewtwo of the series and I agree. Both in terms of "doesn't know their own place in the world" and then "knowing exactly what they are doing and they don't give a shit" towards the end. And the I. Rex totally knows what she was doing at the end, hence why Blue turned on her.

And I think that I. Rex really did know what she was doing. I don't think she was human levels of intelligent. But whereas I'd put the raptors at about dog level intelligence or maybe ape levels, the I. Rex was clearly more intelligent than that. Somewhere inbetween human and animal.

J & J are my otp right now. But, like, I can't decide if it's platonic or not. Tell me to stop feeling weird about about writing them cuddling for like 2k words. What are your ships? That aren't Sheild related because I never thought I'd be sick of the juggernaut pairings but I am. Kinda into Sheamus/Kane a lot now too.

I hope Kofi Kingston puts up a good fight against Brock Lesnar at whatever that thing is in Japan because I think Kofi's performance could foreshadow Seth up as very real contender instead of just the next resident of Suplex City. I've been seeing rumors of a Shield reunion and I hope they are false because I love Seth ALL ON HIS OOOOOWN, the jerk. If anything, I want him to go back to J & J and Kane AND MAYBE BRING SHEAMUS IN? I dunno what I want to see with Sheamus, tbh. I like him chilling with Kane, but I also like him just wanting to kill everyone? But he's never really interacted with Seth and their characters are parallel in a way (alienated everyone, kind of weirdly desperate to prove theirselves), so I'd like to see them have some storyline with each other.

My favorite wrestling ship is Hunter/Stephanie, but then again Stephanie is my favorite Diva.

Yessssssss. I love Steph. Canon/rl ships are just... are what they are for me. I like Hunter/Steph but I like it better when someone else is involved.

Should have been around for the Attitude Era, Fing, lots of opportunities for slash, threesomes, and more kinks than you could shake a stick at.

I'm too young for the Attitude Era. I would've been like 12. :(

But I ship Steph/Trips/Seth for sure. I have this headcanon that Trips helps the people he wants to fuck become champ because Steph only lets him fuck champs. (I think he's got his eye on Roman next, tbh. Because he knows Dean can't be blackmailed or enticed by anything the Authority has to offer so he's not interested, but Roman, well, he does have a daughter Bray Wyatt is interested in and maybe the Authority can help him out with his Bray Wyatt problem if Roman promises to kept the belt under Authority control by becoming their latest asset.)

Which Tolkien books have you read (Including Christopher's)?

Lord of the Rings, The Hobbit, The Silmarillion

And there's an end on it, really. TBH I never cared much for the whole legendarium aspect of Tolkien's work. It's just not the part of his thing that appeals to me.

Are you interested in trying Children of Hurin?

I feel like that will soon become part of the Hobbit/LOTR/Silm set, since it doesn't have scholarly commentary like HoME does, and reads a lot like a cross between the Silm and LOTR.

Lord of the Rings, Hobbit, Silmarillion, Children of Hurin, started the Unfinished Tales.

In addition to LotR and the Hobbit, I read about half of the Sil before I gave up, but I have read bits and pieces of HoME, especially the Unfinished Tales. I went through a phase where I was very interested in the history and mythology and worldbuilding of Middle Earth.

The Hobbit, The Lord of the Rings, (some) of The Silmarillion, (some) of The History of the Lord of the Rings, and Children of Hurin.

Silmarillion was a bit too...dense for me back when I tried it. I'm interested in the stories, but it was hard for me to connect with it. Maybe I'll try again one day...I own it so I probably should. (Same with The History.)

Never read Unfinished Tales, though. Thought I would finish Silmarillion first, and every time I considered it I ended up reading Lord of the Rings instead.

LotR, The Silmarillion, The Hobbit, bits of Unfinished Tales, bits of the first and last History of Middle Earth books.

I read bits about how the early version of the story that became the Silmarillion was closer related to England, with the island of Balar originally being Britain. I think I have second book and maybe the third but went and bought the last before any others because I wanted The Shibboleth of Fëanor.

I still kinda wish to get the rest of HoME, but they're not available.

What I am not interested in is Children of Húrin, because not that long ago (like some time in the last few years) I took a really close look at it... and really, Turin is a bloody depressing character. He's an ass who does everything wrong. Out of the tales from the Silmarillion, I'd much rather read an expanded version of Beren and Lúthien's tale, and by extension, their granddaughter and her husband (Elwing and Eärendil).

I love LotR and all it's lore, but some tales in it interest me more than others.
