Not your point, but gastric bypass is awful. I've known two people who died after the surgery because they starved to death, another who was fine for the first five years after and is now in kidney failure that his doctors are attributing partly to the surgery, and another who developed chronic kidney stones because of it. Good luck to your Aunt, tbh.
