Although I think if you're worried you can remove them from the friends feeds but still have it say friends?

AYRT - Can you do that with LJ? I know you can with Facebook.

I though you could make like a customised friends feed or something. I just logged onto lj to see if I could find it and wow it is changed. Maybe check the help section?

You can edit your friends groups and filter your flist that way.

Your default flist will still be everyone you've friended, but it's easy to click and choose to display a different group that includes/excludes whomever you want.
