Not saying that OP is fake or disingenuous here, but everytime there is a triangle between a/b and a/c and two conflicting ships, people get annoyed and say 'let's make b/c the couple instead' but for the most part it's not genuine slash shipping, just like pushing for a character to be asexual only when you don't like their canon ship (and you know the alternatives don't have a chance) and only as a means (wrongly so) to make them ship-less and aromantic too is not caring about asexual people getting represented.
Specifically pushing asexuality on characters who are part of some minorities, like poc and queer characters, whose sexuality abd sensuality is censored and scaled back already might rub some people in the wrong way too.
