I know, it was a bit extreme. :( If it was the same anon, it's frustrating that they kept coming back with the same questions and the same irrational fears, but not listening to any of the responses they solicited. Plenty of people tried to reassure them and it was weird that they'd rather just see their situation as some sort of worst case scenario instead of, well, reality.

I didn't really read those threads but were they recently diagnosed? If so, I'd lay off. I'd be pretty upset to get a diagnosis like that, and people deal with shit like that in different ways.

I also largely made that comment because I found it weird that you were apparently thinking about this and being invested in it after the fact tbh.
