No, the Messianics really are skeevy. They're basically Christians who pretend to be Jewish (aka Jews for Jesus). I wouldn't say "hate", but they do weird me out.

This X 9000. They're also trinitarians, tho' most sects try to hide this upfront, and you only see it if you read reeeeeeeeeeeaallly closely into their literature/websites, etc., and even then sometimes they won't admit it until the marks are really deeply invested/re-baptized.

Basically, MJs looked at the worst of orthodox Christianity, the worst of Rabbinical Judaism, figured "Why not both?" and mashed them both together, effectively deceiving BOTH the Christians AND the Jews who get sucked into their various sects.

IOW, the Jews get sucked in b/c they have all the Talmudic rituals/trappings/etc., and the fact that Jesus is God to the MJs gets overlooked/brushed aside/not really addressed (which is a big no-no for Rabbinical/Orthodox Jews), and the Christians get sucked in by the MJ leaders reassuring THEM, "oh it's ok, we're really trinitarians" eeeeeeeexcept for the unfortunate fact that the MJs have adopted aaaaaaaalllll the Rabbinical/Talmudic/Pharisaical ceremonial/Temple rituals that were cast aside in the Year Dot by the first century Christian Church.

TL;DR: Messianic Jews are the Dark Side of the Force, yo.
