Militant vegans. Ie make their dog/cat/snake vegan. No.

(I'm sure 'casual' vegans exist but never met one myself. )

Militant child free.

Agreed on the latter. I've seen some "childfree" people who said some truly awful stuff or just been like overgrown brats themselves.

So agreed on the second, and I say this as someone who doesn't want children. But I refuse to call myself "child free" because everyone I've seen who uses that label is obnoxious.

While I'm not a vegan and I don't tend to like them much, I do have to be That Guy here for a second; dogs can subsist on a vegan diet without an abundance of health issues.

Cats and snakes can not, however, and I agree with the essential message. Don't feed your pets diets that will kill them, please.

Carry on.

Re:dogs. Surviving on a vegan (not even vegetarian, straight to vegan! D:) diet is very different from thriving. Especially since so few of those vegans research on behalf of the dog and the relating health issues. There are some very very few dogs it would be best for in consultation with a vet because of allergies or health issues that will do better on vegetarian diets very carefully researched but the majority it is not good for.

And it's a person's responsibility to ensure their pet is happy and thriving, not bare minimum survival. Especially not because of their personal beliefs or diet overriding their duty of care.

Let's just... Pretend vegans forcing cats or other obligates onto a vegan diet don't exist for now or I'll be angry for a week.

Also carry on!

Totally agree, I just had to be pedantic because that's how I do lol.

I usually like to pretend militant vegans don't exist, tbh. Don't even fucking get me started on raw vegans.

The first makes me shudder. Some animals are born to eat meat goddamnit. If some people can't deal with their pets needing meat in their diet then get a pet that doesn't need to eat meat ffs.

OHMYGOD the first time I saw vegan dog food was when I truly realized America has jumped the goddamn shark.

Oh an irresponsible dog owners. Off lead outside your house. Walking up with your shitty dog to other dogs. Not even reading up on dog behaviour - I hate you.
