Re: protein supplements for vegetarians?

"High Protein Source" bright labels stuck over boxes of things, or anything that has more than 3 layers of packaging, etc. Basically, I'm saying to avoid junk food that's masquerading as health food. Bulk food stores are your friend, OP.
Natural peanut butter, grind-your-own even, is available most places, I think. Canned chickpeas may have added salt (check to see if the instructions say to rinse after draining), but that depends on whether you're on a low-sodium diet or not, I guess. Though they are regularly $1.99/can where I am. That's store brand, BTW. I do live in a bit of a food desert, but as I said further down the thread, I'm not strict veg, and I eat a lot of country food (e.g. wild meat and game, all the fish), but that's not helpful for OP.
