YOU SHOULD KNOW that there is a ton of stuff to do and lots of things to see so DONT FEEL BAD if you need a walkthrough to make sure you get everything or more than one playthrough to exhaust your options. Also it is NOT a balanced game (it is a damn good one) and magic is way overpowered. The only problem is of course magic and tech don't get along so if you play a character that's too magical (there is a scale) you literally will not be able to do things like take the train or subway or things like that.

Also your points affect everything. Charisma affects the number of followers you can have (2 - 5), Willpower is important to a mage... it really does NOT give you much of a tutorial but then this game was made in the days of the paper manual. These days we have handy dandy forum posts and so on. If you try it though I hope you have fun with it! It is fun.
